The Spanish Grand Prix already has a date for 2027: from 10 to 12 September
Following the success of its debut, MADRING will once again form part of a calendar comprising 24 Grands Prix across five continents.
Madrid already has a date for its next Formula 1 event. MADRING will host the FORMULA 1 LENOVO GRAN PREMIO DE ESPAÑA from 10 to 12 September 2027, according to the official calendar announced by Formula 1 and the FIA for the upcoming season.
The confirmation comes just days after MADRING’s debut, which from 11 to 13 September hosted the first edition of the FORMULA 1 TAG HEUER GRAN PREMIO DE ESPAÑA. A debut that brought together 352,618 attendees over the weekend and established Madrid as one of Formula 1’s leading international venues.
The 2027 event will also mark LENOVO’s debut as the Title Event sponsor of the Spanish Grand Prix, giving its name to the second edition of the Madrid race: FORMULA 1 LENOVO GRAN PREMIO DE ESPAÑA 2027.
Madrid Back on the Global Calendar
Formula 1 will return to MADRING in September as part of a season featuring 24 Grands Prix across 22 countries and five continents. Madrid will once again occupy one of the key weekends of the European leg of the championship, immediately following the Italian Grand Prix at Monza.
The 2027 season will begin in Bahrain from 12 to 14 March and conclude in Abu Dhabi from 3 to 5 December. Among its main developments are the return of Portugal and Turkey and the expansion to ten Sprint weekends.
For MADRING, the publication of the new calendar marks the beginning of the countdown to its second edition. Following its 2026 debut, the Madrid circuit enters a new season with the experience gained from its first year and its sights set on continuing to grow an event that forms part of the Formula 1 calendar in the long term, under an agreement that runs until 2036.
