IFEMA MADRID and RACE will collaborate on the development of joint initiatives in the field of motorsport.
IFEMA MADRID and the Royal Automobile Club of Spain (RACE) have formalized a collaboration agreement aimed at promoting and developing various initiatives in the field of motorsport. The agreement was signed by the Chairman of the Executive Committee of IFEMA MADRID, José Vicente de los Mozos, and the President of RACE, Carmelo Sanz de Barros.
This partnership will initially focus on joint actions within the framework of the Spanish Formula 1 Grand Prix, as well as the development of future projects related to motorsport that may arise from this alliance.
As part of the agreement, RACE will contribute its extensive expertise and proven experience in organizing and managing major motorsport competitions and events. This exclusive know-how has established the Royal Automobile Club of Spain as a leading institution in the field of motorsport, thanks to the long-standing history of the Madrid Jarama Circuit – RACE since its inauguration in 1967.
Some of the most notable milestones in the Circuit’s history include the hosting of nine Formula 1 Grands Prix, sixteen Motorcycle Grands Prix, thirty-seven FIA European Truck Racing Championships, as well as Formula 2, Formula 3, Formula 4, Electric Touring Cars and numerous national championships.
The agreement also reflects the commitment of both institutions to collaborate on the design, organization and execution of new projects and experiences linked to motorsport, recognizing that both the IFEMA MADRID Exhibition Center and the Madrid Jarama Circuit – RACE are unique venues that drive commerce, industry, sport, tourism, culture and leisure in the Madrid Region.
This strategic alliance represents a decisive step towards consolidating Madrid’s position as a global benchmark in the organization of major motorsport events, thanks to the management capacity, innovation and international projection that both IFEMA MADRID and RACE bring to the table.
