From 11 to 13 September, La Azotea will offer a culinary experience bringing together some of the most acclaimed chefs and restaurants from Madrid and across Spain. The initiative forms part of the hospitality programme for the FORMULA 1 TAG HEUER GRAN PREMIO DE ESPAÑA 2026, giving guests the opportunity to sample a selection of dishes inspired by some of the country’s most celebrated kitchens.
Located at La Monumental, one of the most iconic corners of the MADRING circuit, La Azotea will feature a four-storey structure equipped with a restaurant, panoramic terrace, lounge areas and privileged views of the track. Guests will also have access to an afterparty scheduled for Saturday evening.
A line-up of leading chefs and restaurants
The culinary offering will bring together nine renowned names from the world of gastronomy, showcasing the diversity that has helped establish Madrid as one of Europe’s leading dining destinations.
Among those taking part are Hugo Muñoz, chef of Ugo Chan, renowned for his distinctive Japanese-Madrilenian cuisine, and Mario Sandoval, chef-patron of Coque, one of the benchmarks of contemporary Spanish fine dining.
Also featured will be Javier Sanz and Juan Sahuquillo, the chefs behind CEBO; Javier Bonet, founder of Sala de Despiece; Roberto Ruiz, founder of Barracuda MX and a pioneer of high-end Mexican cuisine in Europe; and Gianni Pinto, chef of Noi, specialising in contemporary Italian cooking.
The sweet side of the experience will be led by Jordi Roca, creator of Rocambolesc, and Oriol Balaguer, one of the world’s leading figures in artisan pastry and chocolate-making.
Signature dishes from some of Spain’s most sought-after restaurants
Across the three days of the Grand Prix, guests will be able to enjoy a variety of dishes served throughout the main restaurant and a number of dedicated food stations. The offering will include fine dining creations, produce-led cuisine, international flavours, vegetarian options and premium pastry specialities.
Each chef will present tasting-format interpretations of the dishes that have helped define their respective restaurants. The aim is to give guests a gastronomic journey through some of Madrid’s most sought-after dining destinations without ever leaving the circuit.
Madrid, gastronomy and Formula 1
With this initiative, La Azotea expands its offering beyond sport and hospitality, positioning gastronomy as one of the key pillars of the event experience.
The presence of some of Spain’s most celebrated chefs will turn the FORMULA 1 TAG HEUER GRAN PREMIO DE ESPAÑA 2026 into a showcase for Madrid’s culinary excellence before an international audience, further strengthening the connection between the sport, the city and its gastronomic identity.
