The FORMULA 1 TAG HEUER GRAN PREMIO DE ESPAÑA has joined forces with the organisation through a cooperation agreement that sets out measures to ensure the physical and digital inclusion of people with disabilities both before and during the event.

The Formula 1 Spanish Grand Prix, which will take place over the weekend of 11–13 September 2026 at the newly named MADRING circuit located within IFEMA MADRID, remains steadfast in its ambition to become a Grand Prix accessible to all.

As a result of this commitment, Fundación ONCE and IFEMA MADRID have signed a collaboration agreement. The accord was formalised by Daniel Martínez Rodríguez, Executive Vice President of IFEMA MADRID, and José Luis Martínez Donoso, Director General of Fundación ONCE, who both underlined its importance in guaranteeing the right of people with disabilities to enjoy sport and leisure.

Daniel Martínez highlighted:
“From the very outset of our project, it was clear that we needed to be a Grand Prix everyone could enjoy. With the essential support of Fundación ONCE, we aim to embed the concept of total accessibility into the MADRING circuit, setting a benchmark for excellence in this field within the Formula 1 calendar; removing barriers and demonstrating that the event is designed to satisfy the passion for this sport felt by any fan.”

For his part, José Luis Martínez Donoso stated that the work to be carried out in the coming months will place the Spanish capital at the forefront internationally:
“We will ensure that Madrid and its Grand Prix become a global reference point, as it will truly be a sporting event for everyone.”

Fundación ONCE to Provide Training and Advisory Services to MADRING

The agreement marks the starting point for implementing measures to guarantee the physical and digital accessibility of people with disabilities throughout the event.

As part of the partnership, Fundación ONCE will provide the Grand Prix team with technical guidance on digital accessibility.

Ahead of the event, the organisation will also make available its technical expertise regarding physical accessibility (facilities, spaces and environments) to the FORMULA 1 TAG HEUER GRAN PREMIO DE ESPAÑA. Fundación ONCE will additionally train IFEMA MADRID employees and volunteers in how to assist and support people with disabilities.

During the Grand Prix, Fundación ONCE will select trained volunteers who will assist attendees throughout the competition days. They will carry out tasks including accompaniment, social support, orientation and mobility assistance, as well as helping people with disabilities and/or reduced mobility (PRM) move around within the venue.
