Construction begins on the MADRING circuit Pit Building and Paddock Club
Works on the MADRING circuit continue to progress in line with the planned schedule, marked by a key milestone in its development: the construction of the Pit Building and Paddock Club, one of the central infrastructures of the FORMULA 1® TAG HEUER SPANISH GRAND PRIX
Located at IFEMA MADRID, the Pit Building will comprise three floors and reach a maximum height of 18.5 metres. The ground floor will house the garages, the operational heart of the circuit where teams work, strategic decisions are taken in real time and cars are prepared before heading out onto the track. The building will feature 14 modular garages, 11 allocated to the teams and three reserved for the FIA, and has been designed to operate at the highest level throughout the race weekend.
The upper levels will host the Paddock Club, one of the most exclusive areas in the Formula 1 championship. Indoor lounges, premium hospitality spaces and panoramic terraces will offer privileged views over the pit lane and the track, allowing guests to experience Formula 1 just metres from the action. The space is designed for companies, invited guests and key figures, combining sport, technology and experience.
Construction of the building is being carried out by Eiffage Construcción and will be directly integrated with the existing halls at IFEMA MADRID, with internal connections between buildings as well as accessible stairways and lifts. Beyond the Grand Prix itself, both the Pit Building and the Paddock Club are designed to have a permanent legacy: once the race weekend concludes, the infrastructure will become part of IFEMA MADRID’s day-to-day operations, contributing to the enhancement of the Convention South area, as well as Halls 1 and 2.
Works progress at the Valdebebas site
In parallel, construction works at the Valdebebas site continue to progress in line with the planned schedule. At the beginning of December, the first base layer of asphalt was laid on the circuit, a key milestone in shaping the track. The intermediate and final wearing course layers will be applied over the coming months.
