An afternoon to remember in
MADRING’S HISTORY
The RoadShow was a true crowd-puller. Madrid showed its passion for Formula 1 from the very first "tardeo" of MADRING with Carlos Sainz and Williams. A total of 80,000 fans joined the local hero as he took part in a thrilling exhibition, driving the WF45 in front of his home crowd for the first time. The streets forming the urban section of the F1 Spanish Grand Prix circuit were packed to capacity.
Alongside Sainz were two rising stars of Spanish motorsport: Pepe Martí (F2) and Mari Boya (F3), both from Campos Racing, who made it clear they are here to stay. Also joining the show was WAH, one of Madrid’s most acclaimed musical and culinary experiences, parading through the streets in Ford Raptors and other show-ready vehicles to add even more flair to the event.
Many familiar faces didn’t want to miss out, including Roberto Carlos, Fede Valverde, Arturo Valls, and Sergio Llull, some of whom had the chance to wave the checkered flag as the cars raced past. José Vicente de los Mozos, President of IFEMA MADRID, did the honors during Carlos Sainz’s final stint. After stepping out of the car, Sainz climbed to the top of the broadcast bridge to greet his fans. From there, he thanked everyone who made this first RoadShow possible:
“Thank you, Madrid, thank you all. To the organizers and to everyone for the warmth this afternoon. You've made me truly happy.”
He then returned to the crowd to sign autographs and say goodbye after an unforgettable day—for MADRING, for Sainz, and for all the fans.
