La Azotea to bring together some of Madrid’s leading culinary names during the FORMULA 1 TAG HEUER GRAN PREMIO DE ESPAÑA 2026
Mario Sandoval, Hugo Muñoz, Javier Sanz and Juan Sahuquillo, Javier Bonet, Roberto Ruiz, Gianni Pinto, Jordi Roca and Oriol Balaguer will take part in a gastronomic offering designed for guests of La Azotea, one of the most exclusive VIP spaces at the FORMULA 1 TAG HEUER GRAN PREMIO DE ESPAÑA 2026.
From 11 to 13 September, La Azotea will offer a gastronomic experience bringing together some of the most renowned chefs and restaurants from Madrid and across Spain. The concept will form part of the hospitality programme of the FORMULA 1 TAG HEUER GRAN PREMIO DE ESPAÑA 2026 and will allow guests to discover a selection of dishes inspired by some of the country’s most distinguished culinary traditions.
Located at La Monumental, one of the most iconic corners of the MADRING circuit, the venue will feature a four-storey structure equipped with a restaurant, panoramic terrace, lounge areas and privileged views of the track, as well as an afterparty session scheduled for Saturday afternoon.
A selection of leading chefs and restaurants
The gastronomic programme will bring together nine prominent names from the restaurant industry in a single space, with the aim of bringing to the circuit a showcase of the culinary diversity that has established Madrid as one of Europe’s leading gastronomic destinations.
Among the participants are Hugo Muñoz, chef of Ugo Chan, renowned for his Japanese-Madrilenian fusion cuisine, and Mario Sandoval, chef-patron of Coque, one of the benchmarks of contemporary Spanish fine dining.
Also taking part will be Javier Sanz and Juan Sahuquillo, the chefs behind CEBO; Javier Bonet, creator of Sala de Despiece; Roberto Ruiz, founder of Barracuda MX and a pioneer of high-end Mexican cuisine in Europe; and Gianni Pinto, chef of Noi, specialising in contemporary Italian cuisine.
The sweet offering will be led by Jordi Roca, creator of Rocambolesc, and Oriol Balaguer, one of the world’s leading references in artisan pastry and chocolate making.
Signature dishes from each restaurant
Over the three days of the Grand Prix, guests will be able to enjoy a variety of creations served across the main restaurant and several gastronomic stations. The offering will include fine dining dishes, ingredient-led cuisine, international gastronomy, vegetarian options and pastry specialities.
Each chef will present tasting-format adaptations of some of the dishes that have helped define the identity of their respective restaurants. The aim is to allow guests to enjoy a gastronomic journey through some of Madrid’s most sought-after dining establishments without leaving the circuit.
Madrid, gastronomy and Formula 1
With this initiative, La Azotea expands its proposition beyond the sporting and hospitality experience to integrate gastronomy as one of the key pillars of the event experience.
The presence of some of the country’s most acclaimed chefs will turn the FORMULA 1 TAG HEUER GRAN PREMIO DE ESPAÑA 2026 into a platform for showcasing Madrid’s culinary offering to an international audience, strengthening the connection between the sport, the city and its gastronomic identity.
